Gracie's Day at the Dog Park

We took Gracie to Point Isabel dog park on Sunday. This was our second time there. The week before the weather was great, probably in the high 80s and all the big dogs were playing fetch in the bay. What a sight! This time it was a little colder but we had fun walking around. Gracie loves to take in ALL the smells! She was so exhausted when we got home that she couldn't keep her eyes open.

Gracie's Amazing Weenie Race

Last weekend was Gracie's weenie race at Golden Gate Fields. We had a blast. Although, Gracie didn't quite make it out of the gate as planned. Unfortunately, the gate didn't open properly because the lady next to me was standing under the lever. The gate opened just enough for little Gracie to wedge her little weenie bod underneath. When she finally got out she got so confused and just ran around back to me. Oh well. We'll try again next year! It was still fun to see all those weenie dogs walking around.

I guess it's never good to be in the first heat. That's where they work out the kinks.

Gracie before her race. She's in the zone.

Keep an eye on the lady to my left.

Gracie sees Nate on the other end with her chewy stick and she's ready to go!

Still in the zone.

She's got her eye on the prize.

Check out the bar hitting the lady in the back! Gracie can't get out of the gate!

She's finally free!

Trip to Los Angeles

We spent last week in Los Angeles visiting Nate's family. We drove down with Gracie and she got to meet Nate's grandparents new dog (whose a little bigger than Gracie) and my friend, Michelle's, doggy (Lucy). We had a great time. It rained the first two days and then cleared up to the beautiful southern california weather.

Merry Christmas from Gracie Bamberger...

After the Petco Santa dropped Gracie on the ground, I decided to hold her in the picture. This was a very traumatic experience for her.

European Vacation...

We just returned from our two week vacation in London and Paris. The main purpose of our trip (or at least how I enticed Nate in to wanting to go to England) was to see the San Diego Chargers play the New Orleans Saints at Wembley Stadium. The game was great...except for the fact that the Chargers lost. It was awesome to see an NFL game in Europe. They really do have a lot of european fans and most of them showed up in their jerseys. I think we saw about every single team jersey being worn. I guess when you live in Europe and you only get to go to one game every year, it doesn't matter who plays. Other than the game, we did all the typical touristy stuff...Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Tower of London, London Eye, Harrods, etc. We saw the musical Spamalot which we highly recommend. We ate ALOT...although we avoided English food. Instead, we enjoyed some great indian, chinese, and italian food. In Paris, again, we were typical tourists. We climbed the stairs in the Eiffel Tower to the second level. What a workout! Then I took the elevator to the top and sent Nate back to the bottom. We spent about 8 hours in the Louvre and probably only saw about 20% of everything in there. The place is huge! We visited the Palace of Versailles and took a cruise on the Seinne. Again, we avoided french cuisine but did have a good gyro and some excellent McDonalds...hehe. We were disappointed with the crepes as they didn't measure up to the Crepes-A-Go-Go we have in Berkeley. Pictures are posted on my Picasa page... "Megan's Europe Pictures"

Not a Saints fan.

Put Me In Coach

Gracie and I helped the Chargers defeat the Patriots on Sunday. What a great game...a massacre...just the way we like it.

Gracie likes to be right in the action.

It's looking good at halftime.
