Some pictures from our annual day in SF the day after Thanksgiving...

Choosing tea is stressful!

We need to ride one of these around the city someday!

Birthday 2009

Pretty much the funniest home made birthday card from Nate so far. I don't know how I can top this one.

UFL!

Saturday was the home opener of the California Redwoods. "Who?!", you might say. They are one of the four teams in the new United Football League. Apparently, not too many people know about this new league because there were only about 5000 people at AT&T Park to see them play the New York Sentinels. However, we had a blast and the tickets were super cheap...$20 each...and since barely anyone was there we went right down and sat in the front row. The rules are pretty much the same as the NFL with a few exceptions. We enjoyed it so much that we bought tickets for the next game as well, when they play the Las Vegas Locomotives.

Get it?

The little boy was the nephew of the player in the picture below...

We won!

"They are who we thought they were!"

These guys are HUGE!

We're on TV! (in the top left)

Now we're on the right.

Monday Night Football!

Nate and I went to the Raiders vs. Chargers game on Monday night. The Chargers won in a close game. They pulled ahead in the last 2 minutes. Thank god. I would hate to have them lose to the Raiders. I wore my Philip Rivers jersey and was nervous that some Raiders fans would try to beat me up. They must be the most ghetto fans in the entire NFL...reminding us, once again, why we only go to one of their games each year.

Monday Night Football!

We sat in the 6th row right behind the Chargers bench :-)

Warming up.

Hoping I don't get beat up for wearing a Chargers jersey :-\

Depeche Mode in Las Vegas

This weekend we flew down to Las Vegas to see the Depeche Mode concert at The Palms. We flew in our friend's small 4-seater plane very early on Saturday morning...6:45am...ouch. Since we were going to be down there anyway, I talked Nate into staying four days so we could take in a couple more shows. The Depeche Mode show was on Saturday night. It was great...a very small venue (about 2500 people) with not a bad seat in the house. I guess the only bad thing was that they decided not to turn the AC on at all during the entire show. I think it must have been about 95 degrees in there. Thanks Maloofs. Sunday night we went to the Wayne Brady show. This was about the fourth time we've seen him and he was hilarious as always. Then on Monday, we had tickets to see Phantom of the Opera...my favorite. We had front row seats which were magnificent! Along with all the shows, we also took in a couple buffets and ate way too much. We stood in line for 45 minutes to go to the Bellagio buffet...which, I think, was not worth it. Although, they do have all you can eat crab legs and sushi...so if you're into that, this is the place for you.

Heading out to Vegas.

Made it to Vegas...all in one piece!

Nice food presentation at one of the Treasure Island restaurants :-)

Ready for the show!

He hates it when I make him take lame pictures. Hehe.

I took all the strawberries at the buffet :-)

Mmm...grapes.

Disneyland!

Fourth of July weekend was Disney weekend for us. Yup...it was time for the annual trip again. We flew down to L.A. on the fourth and hung out with Nate's family and enjoyed some swimming and barbecuing. Later that evening we drove to Anaheim for two fun-filled days at Disneyland and California Adventure. The fifth of July was actually not that crowded and we made it on all the rides with never more than a fifteen minute line. The next day we were not so lucky but enjoyed some great people watching, shows, and a great dinner at the Blue Bayou. Too bad we were so stuffed from snacking all day that we couldn't even finish our crab cakes!

The Happiest Place on Earth

Tower of Terror

I had to go on this one by myself.

A nice nutritious meal after a long day at Disneyland. I like how they put the Coke in a carafe. Hehe.

What a great idea! A face painting SALON.

If you're going to go on a water ride...don't wear the ponchos. That's just bad form.
